This week's Line is Drawn challenge was a revisit to the Characters in a Different Genre theme which last time resulted in my Dystopian Tintin piece.

This time I tried my hand at Western Batgirl. The story being that Jim Gordon was just a miner who killed the most notorious bandits while defending his gold mine, which prompted the townsfolk to make him Sheriff... which didn't last long. He and his whole family were shot, except for Barbara, who fled to his mine and protects it in his memory (without the use of guns.)

The Wonder Woman thing at the bottom was a bonus, because someone else suggested a Western theme for her too. Lots of Western suggestions this time around. Cowboys & Aliens influence, maybe?

It's cartoonier than I was trying for but my brushes are all a little damaged and I can't afford any new ones. I need to tape some up, or trim bristles, something...

oh man!! that is awesome. I absolutely love the concepts you threw at this one. Really goes back to those old Zorro tales in look and feel. plus how can you not love " The Wonder Woman" wow. I love the shift in tone between the 2 images too.

I for one would love to know more about "the breaker of men."

Also you know goon on the right is just gonna keep on rattling on about "I know we shouldna come here!" Until gruff lead goon belts him.

In my mind, this leaves Big Goon as the one first picked off by BatGirl, causing Nervous Goon to crack, act erratically and subsequently taken out. Culminating a big mine showdown betwee Gruff lead goon and western batgirl.

I imagine minecarts are involved.
