This is page 12 of a 24 hour comic I did over the Sunday-Monday just gone. (Queen's birthday long weekend in Australia, not that I live there any more...)
You can read the whole thing HERE - I did the whole 24 pages in 24 hours, but only inked up to 15. The remaining 9 only made it to pencils, but I still finished it off after a brief snooze.
I am a huge fan of everything Muppets, and Jim Henson in particular. He was an a visionary, and everything he did was pure fun and magical. I had a documentary I taped off the ABC called The World of Jim Henson and boy, did I watch that a lot. This comic is a tribute to Jim, and his legendary legacy. Bring on that Muppet movie!!!
(This is also my entry to the Line is Drawn this week on CBR. I didn't have time to do both, so I merged them.)
This was amazing! I really enjoyed the whole thing. It was very touching and tons of fun, not to mention gorgeous to look at. It's truly a beautiful, heartfelt work of art. I really would love to see this land you a Muppets related gig.
nice comic you made, I personaly felt it wasn't about kermit becoming thor but Kermit using Mjollnir to see Jim Henson. I also have to agree with Rowlf Jim henson may be gone but he lives on in all that he has created.
Yeah, I really wanted that moment between Rowlf and Kermit at the end. I always see their relationship as Kermit being the heart of the Muppets, but Rowlf is the spine. He was big on TV before Kermit in the Muppet timeline, but has gladly taken a backseat for the little green frog.
listen, Caanan. that strip really needs to get picked up by marvel. wow. that comic was just. BAH! i don't have words to say. and in a day no less, you talented bastard.
